I also love the fact that this particular beer cheese dip is served cold, which makes it almost effortless to make and cart to a party or throw on your buffet with a bowl of pretzels.

What You’ll Need to Make Cold Beer Cheese Dip

  • 2 8-ounce containers of whipped cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup of your favorite beer
  • 1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Cold Beer Cheese Dip

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, beer and ranch dressing mix until smooth.  Next, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.

You can use an 8 ounce brick of cream cheese in place of the whipped cream cheese for this recipe. You will just need to get out your beaters to mix everything together.

Buying whipped cream cheese is a short-cut I like to use when making cold dips because I can simply place the ingredients in one bowl and stir everything together by hand.
