How To Make the Original ‘Ohana Honey Lime Salad Dressing

If you love honey and lime, you will not find anything better than ‘Ohana Honey Lime Dressing.  It used to be served at Disney’s ‘Ohana dinner at the Polynesian Resort.  While you will no longer find it on a Disney menu, it is super easy to make at home.

Dinner at ‘Ohana – Polynesian Resort

You can smell the mixture of flame and roasting meat even before you notice the giant oak fire pit in the middle of the dining room.

Waiters (“Cousins” here at ‘Ohana) hurry between tables, delivering skewers of meat, platters of fried dumplings, and plates of caramel laden banana bread pudding.

I’m here for the SALAD.

I nibble on a piece of sweet pineapple bread as I wait for the salad bowl.  It arrives and I add a heaping pile to my plate.  I’ve been waiting all day for this salad – a tantalizing combination of sweet and tart, it complements the crunchy salad perfectly.

I sit back, take a bite, and um….something is wrong with my salad.

A brief conversation with my new “Cousin”, Kevin, confirms that the beloved ‘Ohana Honey Lime Salad Dressing has gone the way of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.

  1. My favorite dressing ever! I wish they still served it there. I will be making this for a work staff picnic along with Tequila Lime Chicken with Mango Salsa.
