Best Ever London Broil Steakhouse Marinade

Print Recipe
I’m all for bottled marinades for ease but, when it comes to taste, nothing beats this classic steakhouse marinade.  I found this recipe on a hand written note in my Grandma’s recipe box and I’ve been using it as often as possible ever since.  It’s super easy, you just mix it right inside the ziplock bag.
Prep Time:5 minutes
Total Time:5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp tabasco sauce
  • Either 2 cloves garlic minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Literally, just dump all of the ingredients into a zip lock bag and slosh it around a bit to mix well.  Add your choice of meat and let it marinade as long as you see fit.

Notes

This marinade is perfect with beef, chicken, or pork.  I like to save about 1/4 cup for basting the meat while I grill.
