Prep Time:5 minutes
Cook Time:20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground turkey breast
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Can condensed French onion soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step One

  • Using your hands, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, water, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Divide the ground meat mixture into 6 equal portions and press each into a 2-inch-thick patty.
  • Note: ground turkey is a bit "mushier" than lean ground beef. The patties will be somewhat sticky and not as neat as hamburger patties.

Step Two

  • Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the pan brown both sides (about 3 -4 minutes per side.) Make sure that they get a nice brown on them, or it will be more difficult to remove them from the pan - the inside of the patty will still be raw at this point.
  • Once browned, remove the patties from the pan and set them aside to keep warm.

Step 3

  • Add water, ketchup, Worchestershire sauce, soup, and pepper to the hot skillet and whisk to combine.
  • Bring to a boil and return patties to the large skillet.
  • Reduce heat to medium low heat, cover, and allow to simmer until the brown sauce mixture for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and return the gravy to a boil for a minute or two - until the liquid has reduced a bit and the patties have an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
