I’m all for bottled marinades for ease but, when it comes to taste, nothing beats this classic steakhouse marinade. I found this recipe on a hand written note in my Grandma’s recipe box and I’ve been using it as often as possible ever since. It’s super easy, you just mix it right inside the ziplock bag.
Prep Time:5 minutesmins
Total Time:5 minutesmins
Ingredients
1/2cupsoy sauce
1/2cupwater
2tbsplemon or lime juice
1tbspbrown sugar
2tbspolive oil
1/2tsptabasco sauce
Either 2 cloves garlic minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
Literally, just dump all of the ingredients into a zip lock bag and slosh it around a bit to mix well. Add your choice of meat and let it marinade as long as you see fit.
Notes
This marinade is perfect with beef, chicken, or pork. I like to save about 1/4 cup for basting the meat while I grill.
