Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of chicken broth / stock or a cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

How to Make Shredded Chicken In an Instant Pot

  • Place chicken in pot with salt, pepper, and broth.
  • Cook on High Pressure for 10 minutes. Let pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then quick release.
  • Shred and mix with juices.

How to Make Shredded Chicken in Your Slow Cooker

  • Place chicken in crockpot with salt, pepper, and broth.
  • Cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 4 hours.
  • Shred and stir with juices.

Notes

Store in fridge (3 days) or freezer (3 months). Portion into 2-cup servings for easy future meals.
