Easy Weeknight Meal Idea
When it comes to getting dinner on the table quickly, there are very few things quicker and more family friendly than pizza.
Simply grab a couple of pre-made pizza crusts or pieces of flat bread and get creative! This homemade BLT Pizza is a fabulous fresh meal, loaded with crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, and fresh peppery arugula. It’s a healthier (an even faster!) alternative to delivery!
Not only is it delicious, it’s so pretty, you’ll want to take a moment to stand back and stare at your creation before you serve it . The Balsamic Glaze (click here to the the recipe for an easy homemade version) adds a touch of sweetness and turns your pizza into a visual masterpiece. 😉
While the oven is preheating, you can cook the bacon quickly in the microwave:
How to Make Bacon in the Microwave
- Line a microwave safe plate with two sheets of paper towels.
- Lay the slices of bacon across the paper towels, making sure not to overlap the slices.
- Place 2-3 sheets of paper towel on top of the bacon.
- Microwave on high heat for 4-6 minutes, dependent upon your own microwave’s settings
The Best Pre-Made Pizza Crust
I am currently loving Trader Joe’s Monteli Organic Pizza Crust. It’s about 10 inches in diameter and has a chewy, pizzeria texture. You can use any crust you have available, or even just grab a few pieces of naan bread. Anything goes with with quick and yummy BLT Pizza.Print
