My family is full of quiche lovers. From the flaky pie crust to the cheesy spinach and bacon filling – this recipe always gets rave reviews. I think most people don’t realize how easy quiche is to make so, if you’ve never made one from scratch, please keep reading! If you can make egg casseroles, you can totally make this healthy quiche recipe.
What You’ll Need to Make This Spinach Bacon Quiche Recipe
- 1 (9 inches) deep dish pie crust, frozen
- 5-6 slices of bacon or turkey bacon, diced
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup fresh baby spinach
- 1 ¼ cups shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
- 2 green onion, diced
Notes:
- You can customize this recipe with your favorite shredded cheese. Sharp cheddar cheese and swiss cheese both work perfectly.
- I like to use fresh spinach because it’s so easy and I love the texture, but you could also use a 10-ounce bag of frozen spinach. Just make sure to throw it and ring out as much water as possible first, otherwise you will end up with a soggy crust.
- You can also use your favorite pie crust recipe in place of a frozen one from the grocery store. I’ve never managed to concur making a homemade pie crust, so I stick with frozen pie crust as a rule. 🙂

Begin layering the ingredients in the bottom of the pie crust:
- Start with the spinach
- Next, add the chopped bacon
- Now, top with one cup cheese
- Finally, sprinkle the green onions over the top
- Very gently, pour the egg mixture over the pie filling, making sure it gets into all of the crevices.
