Quick & Easy 3-Ingredient Everything But the Bagel Pigs in a Blanket
3-Ingredient Everything But the Bagel Pigs in a Blanket Recipe is the perfect appetizer or quick snack. The cocktail sausages are wrapped in a flaky dough and topped with a savory mixture of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and other spices to make a much-loved party favorite.
This easy recipe is one of my most requested appetizers. By using lil’ smokies in place of regular hot dogs, wrapping them in a mini crescent triangle, and adding some Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning, you can turn a childhood favorite into crowd-pleasing finger food. Serve these easy pigs at your next party or as a fun snack for your family!
What You’ll Need to Make Easy Everything Bagel Pigs in a Blanket
- 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1 12-ounce package of lil smokies (cocktail weenies)
- Approximately 2 Tablespoons of Everything But the Bagel Seasoning
How to Make 3-Ingredient Everything But the Bagel Mini Sausage Appetizers
Step One
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step Two
- Unroll the croissant dough. Cut each triangle into three pieces. (I usually just cut off the bottom of the triangle and then cut the remaining top piece in half. You do not need to be precise here. When they cook, the crescent roll dough will puff up over the mini sausages PLUS these appetizers disappear so quickly no one will even notice any imperfections.)
- Next, starting at the wide end of the triangle, roll the little smokies up in the crescent dough and place them in a single layer about half an inch apart on your ungreased baking sheet. (Alternately, you can line your cookie sheet with parchment paper, if you choose.)
- Once you’ve rolled up all of the weenies, sprinkle them with everything bagel seasoning.
Step Three
- Bake the appetizer in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes before removing them to a serving tray.
