What You’ll Need to Make 3-Ingredient Everything Bagel Dip

The Original Recipe

  • 8-ounce container of whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

You can use an 8-ounce block of cream cheese in place of the whipped cream cheese for this recipe.  You will just need to get out your hand mixer to mix everything together.

NEW: Healthy Bagel Dip Recipe Ingredients

In the years since I first published this post, we’ve been experimenting with replacing sour cream with Greek yogurt in some of our recipes.  And, although we still love the original version of this delicious dip, we think the yogurt gives it an extra tangy flavor.   Top with diced green onions and serve it with baby carrots for a healthy alternative at your next game day party.

  • 8-ounce whipped low-fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 TBSP everything bagel seasoning blend

My Favorite Tip For Making Cream Cheese-Based Dips

Buying whipped cream cheese is a shortcut I like to use when making cold dips because I can simply place the ingredients in one bowl and stir everything together by hand with a wooden spoon.

The dip is also much easier to mix if you allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature first.

How to Make 3-Ingredient Everything Bagel Dip

Step 1: In a medium bowl, add the whipped cream cheese, sour cream (or Greek Yogurt), and Everything Bagel Seasoning.

Step 2: Stir until everything is combined, scraping the sides of the bowl to make sure the bagel seasoning mix is fully incorporated. That’s it!  Spoon the tasty dip into a serving bowl and serve.

Step 3: If you’d like, you can sprinkle a little extra bagel seasoning or green onion on top for presentation.

A word of caution: You may taste the dip right after you’ve made it and be tempted to add more seasoning.  The flavor gets stronger as the dip sits, so please be cautious about adding too much more seasoning than the recipe calls for.

I think 3 tablespoons is just right and much more than that can lead to a VERY strongly flavored dip.

  7. Can you make this the night before?

    1. Yes! I think the flavors taste even better when they’ve had some time to meld. You can store this dip for 3-4 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator, and the flavor gets stronger the longer it sits.
